Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Course Endorsement

 

RINA endorsement of CPD courses recognises high-quality training that supports the professional growth of naval architects and maritime engineers. Whether you’re a training provider, employer, or educator, RINA endorsement signals credibility, relevance, and alignment with industry standards, enhancing the value of your course to participants and employers alike.

Participating in RINA-endorsed CPD demonstrates a strong commitment to professional excellence, ethical practice, and lifelong learning. It supports candidates in meeting the requirements for professional registration while also enhancing their skills and knowledge, key factors in achieving career progression and long-term success in the maritime and naval architecture industries.

CPD covers a wide range of activities that help professionals maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills, and competence throughout their careers.  This does not have to be limited to formal courses, it can include anything that contributes to professional learning and development.  They do not need to focus solely on engineering or naval architecture, but should instead be relevant to the industry or workplace, for example, developing awareness of welfare or equality issues.

Application Process

To apply for RINA endorsement of your CPD courses please complete a RINA CPD Endorsement Application Form and provide all required supporting documentation.  This can include the following, if relevant:

• The CVs of all instructors supporting the course
• Results of any previously conducted activity evaluations
• A copy of a blank activity evaluation form.

 

Fees

An administration fee is charged for the assessment of CPD courses for RINA endorsement.  The prevailing rate can be advised by the Director of Membership at
